Hamburgers using David’s Larder delicious house made Angus burgers make a great lunch or dinner idea for any day of the week.

Ingredients
- 5 ANGUS BURGERS
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- Lettuce or Baby Spinach leaves
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 5 burger buns
- 2 packets of haloumi cheese, cut into long rectangular shapes to mimic fries
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (or any type of crumb in the pantry)
directions
- Preheat oven to 180c, prepare a baking tray lined with baking paper
- Place flour in a small bowl, the eggs in another bowl and the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl
- Dredge the haloumi chips in the flour, shake off excess, then into the eggs, and finally into the panko breadcrumbs
- Place the haloumi chips on baking tray and bake until breadcrumbs become golden, about 20-25 minutes.
- Cook ANGUS BURGERS on the BBQ or pan fry approx 6 minutes each side, 2 minutes rest
- Prepare burger buns by lightly toasting
- Build your burger and serve haloumi fries straight out of the oven so that they are super crispy and the cheese is perfectly soft
